The embassy of India in The Hague has peculiar rules for visa applicants. Journalists and authors who travel to India to visit family or for tourism need to apply for a journalist visa as well.
Yesterday morning I went to the Indian embassy and I signed a piece of paper in which I promised “to not engage in any activities related to my profession while being in India".
Twenty minutes later I got my visa.
