This year Ton Naaijkens received the Martinus Nijhoff Vertaalprijs for his translation work from German. The award ceremony took place on Thursday 11 May, with contributions from poets Iduna Paalman and Ellen Deckwitz (moderator). Arnon Grunberg held a lecture about Paul Celan and the importance of translating poems (also published in NRC).
