Payments

On the Qatari connection – Harel in Haaretz:

‘This claim came on top of other misleading claims that Netanyahu's office has made against Bar since last week. The office, sometimes in the guise of a "government official," has also claimed that Bar's conduct of the hostage negotiations prevented a deal from being signed (in reality, the talks got stuck only after Bar left the negotiating team on Netanyahu's orders) and that Bar had known some hours in advance that Hamas planned a major attack on October 7 but refrained from waking Netanyahu (this is an utter lie).’

‘Over the weekend, journalist Roi Yanovsky of Kan public television reported that Qatari payments to two other Netanyahu aides, Yonatan Urich and Israel Einhorn, began as early as May 2022. This follows Bar Peleg's report in Haaretz that the two ran a campaign to improve Qatar's image overseas prior to that year's World Cup soccer tournament.
Additionally, former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot (National Unity Party) said in an interview with Channel 12 that Netanyahu was warned years ago that some of the money Qatar sent to the Gaza Strip was being used for Hamas' terrorist activity.
That latter issue isn't a matter for a criminal investigation. The proper forum for investigating the truth of this claim would be a state commission of inquiry. And that is one of the main reasons why Netanyahu is trying with all his might to prevent the establishment of such a commission.’

‘Witkoff recently met in Qatar with five foreign ministers from Arab countries and expressed interest in Egypt's proposal for a technocratic government that would run Gaza under international auspices with generous financial support from the Gulf states. But the Americans are having trouble moving ahead with this proposal, given Netanyahu's vehement opposition and his declared intent to resume the fighting.
In contrast, Israel is willing to discuss an extension of the first stage of the hostage deal, meaning that Hamas would release a small number of additional Israeli hostages, including those who are American dual citizens, in exchange for an extension of the cease-fire. The problem here is that Hamas hasn't projected any willingness to seriously discuss this. It is conditioning any significant progress on international guarantees that Israel won't resume the war.’

‘ For Netanyahu, such constant escalation along the borders serves as both a diversion and an excuse for his radical moves on the domestic front.’

Netanyahu as a Qatari agent, all is possible, when it comes to his survival.

The reoccupation of Gaza is high on Netanyahu’s wish list, if for no other reason than to secure his political, which appears to be all he is interested in.

The threat of escalation on all fronts serves the same purpose.

Real existing Zionism might end up in a state of lawlessness.
